Our place-making skills include: site acquisition, strategic marketing, planning, development and asset management.
The portfolio is home to over 350 organisations and over 12,000 people, occupying over 4m sq ft of high-quality buildings, set in 650 acres of land.
As experts in creating specialist business communities, we have an outstanding track record in nurturing positive long-term relationships and delivering on our promises.
Our tradition is to build with the future in mind, from innovative new developments to adaptable spaces, that can answer changing requirements.
Strong customer relationships mean we have a deep insight into the latest occupational trends, enabling us to provide attractive places to live and work.
Our thinking is focused beyond the buildings and the lease, to deliver what companies value most: a place to impress clients and motivate staff.
Community is at the heart of everything we do, developed through public realm, amenities, networking and social activities. This adds value to our customers, supporting economic prosperity and individual well-being, enabling talented people to thrive.
MEPC was founded by Claude Leigh in 1946 as the Metropolitan Estates & Property Corporation. MEPC was listed on the London Stock Exchange and was a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.
In 2016 MEPC celebrated its 70th anniversary and as such is one of only a few real estate companies in the UK to reach such a milestone.
MEPC’s current experience includes two technology-led business parks and the redevelopment of five urban quarters, in top regional centres, in the UK.
The technology-led business parks, situated in the Oxford Cambridge Arc are Milton Park, established in 1973 and providing 3m sq ft of accommodation, and Silverstone Park, acquired in 2013, with 400,000 sq ft of accommodation and planning consent for a further 2.1m sq ft.
The five urban quarter schemes are:
Wellington Place, Leeds, developed by MEPC over the last 10-years, and offering over 750,000 sq ft of office accommodation, and with consent for a further 1.5m sq ft.
NOMA in Manchester, where MEPC is managing the development of five sites, with 1m sq ft of planning consent.
In central Milton Keynes, MEPC is leading on a project to bring forward a new residential-led, mixed-used development.
St Mary Le Port Bristol is an exciting new development opportunity for urban regeneration right in the city’s heart.
At SkyPark Glasgow, MEPC is working in a development management capacity to assist the asset management team.
