Milton Park Offers Free Breakfast On Bike To Work Day

23 May 2011 by Dawn Crawford

< Back to news

Milton Park is offering a free breakfast roll and drink at Café Metro if you register to take part in the Science Vale Bike to Work Day on Tuesday 21 June 2011 with Harwell Campus and Culham Science Centre as part of Bike to Work Week.

All you have to do is email Dawn Crawford and you will be entitled to a free morning snack on arrival at Milton Park.

There will be three routes and each business park will have two ride leaders (one for the front of the group and one for the back). The leaders will meet and greet the cyclists at each location before the groups split and cycle to their own respective business parks for breakfast.

The day is open to everybody at Milton Park. You do not need lots of cycling experience because the event encourages and promotes cycling to all abilities and ride leaders will position themselves so all speeds are met.

Whether you are looking for a fun way to travel to work, an opportunity to meet like minded people or to get back in the saddle, Bike to Work Day is the ride for you.

Anyone else doing this from Grove?

30 Jun 2011 by Simon Atkin

Thanks for organising this Dawn. I only met 1 other cyclist in Grove and he went to Culham so we shared part of the route. I did enjoy the breakfast roll though, and the company of a cyclist from RM in Cafe Metro. Shame more people didn't join in, I see plently of other cyclists on the road.
