Birchwood Park are always keen to help our customers give something back to the community, and what better way to do it than by volunteering?
Volunteering can be about lending a hand with labour, offering your skills to a local group (e.g. business planning, fundraising) or using your time to raise money for a good cause – and Birchwood can use your help!
Birchwood Park work with The Birchwood Partnership and Warrington Volunteer Centre to help co-ordinate and maximise volunteering opportunities in Birchwood and the wider area.
But don’t just take our word for it…in early 2011, 13 staff from NNL volunteered to help local residents, Neighbourhood wardens, Birchwood Town Council and local Rangers with winter woodland work to improve Birchwood Forest Park for both people and wildlife.
David Healey, Finance Director, NNL said - "It was great to get out in the fresh air and make a difference in the community where we work. It was pretty physical work but really quite enjoyable - certainly very different from the day job!"
