Milton Park Amenities Club Together
26/10/2010
Two of the amenities at Milton Park, one of Europe’s largest business and science estates, have clubbed together to promote their facilities to occupiers.
The Park Club and the on-site shuttle bus service teamed up last week during the early morning rush hour to give passengers hot towels and a refreshing start to their day.
James Dipple, managing director for MEPC Milton Park, said: “We offer a wealth of onsite amenities, which set Milton Park aside from other business estates. We are keen to encourage occupiers to use our public transport facility to help the environment and take advantage of our gym to establish a healthy work life balance.”
Milton Park’s shuttle buses run to and from Didcot Parkway station every 10 minutes throughout the working day for occupiers and visitors. The morning service starts at 06h55 from Milton Park with the last bus departing Didcot Parkway at 10h00. At lunchtime the first bus leaves Milton Park at 11h45 and the last bus departs the station at 14h15. During lunch the shuttle bus also runs to the Orchard Centre in Didcot. The service then resumes from the business estate at 15h20 and stops at 18h25 when the last bus leaves Milton Park.
Sam Kennedy, sales manager at The Park Club, said: “This was a great opportunity to get out onto the business estate and meet the occupiers, some of who may not have used the Club before and seen what is on offer for them. Regular exercise and a healthier lifestyle can help reduce absence from work due to ill health, stress or depression and heart disease.”
The Park Club has excellent facilities including a state of the art gym, 20m swimming pool, air conditioned studios with over 70 classes per week and therapy rooms.
The club opens from 06h30 until 22h00 Monday to Thursday and 06h30 until 21h00 on Fridays. At the weekend the club opens at 09h00 and closes at 17h00.
