Excavation works - No danger to Milton Park Estate

24/09/2008

During excavation work on the evening of Tuesday 16th September 2008 construction workers operating on a development site at Milton Park discovered suspect metal fragments.

James Dipple, Managing Director of Milton Park, comments: "The workers immediately contacted the appropriate authorities including the police and MEPC Milton Park management. An official investigation was launched immediately, overseen personally by me."

As a result of following all the correct procedures and the recommendations of the authorities the site was secured and team of army engineers was dispatched to the site to investigate. After an extensive initial examination, the authorities concluded that material was the remains of used anti aircraft shells and posed absolutely no risk to businesses, individuals or property within the Milton Park estate. The material was removed by the Royal Logistics Corps and the operation was completed on Friday 19th September.

No individual was at put at any risk or any business disturbed within the Milton Park community.

It's business as usual at Milton Park.
