New Directional Signage and Road Names at Milton Park

MEPC has announced a major new directional signage system which will be unveiled across Milton Park on 2nd January 2013. The new directional signage will rely on the introduction of road names to the Park for the first time and represents the single biggest change of road names on an established business estate anywhere in the UK.

Andrew Barlow, Commercial Director at MEPC, explains: “Following feedback from research amongst our customers we have developed a long term estate enhancement programme and the road naming and directional signage project is one of the essential elements in our plan. We believe that naming the roads at Milton Park is long overdue and we know this project will make life significantly easier for all those who work on and visit the Park.”

Nine roads have been named, with over 100 signs being installed across the estate, all combining to create a simple to navigate system for locating businesses on the Park. Gillespies Architects were appointed to undertake a detailed design and planning study to modernise this important feature of the Park to ensure that the new system will benefit customers, visitors, emergency services and deliveries.

Andrew Barlow continues: “Milton Park worked with the South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils during the public consultation to ensure that the changes are formally recognised by the necessary authorities. Royal Mail has simplified the postcode system and over 225 business addresses have been amended. We are very pleased to be able to deliver this large scale improvement during what is an exciting period of growth at Milton Park and in Oxfordshire.”
