The Hillington industrial estate was established in the late 1930s as the first “enterprise zone” in Scotland and has continued to be a leader of economic regeneration ever since. After World War II it was run by a succession of government agencies before being sold to the private sector in 1990. MEPC acquired its ownership in 1996 and is now the largest property owner at Hillington and is actively managing further investment in the business park.
