Formed in September 2003, Vernalis plc is a new, publicly-quoted biotechnology company created by the merger of British Biotech, Vernalis Group and RiboTargets. The company is currently engaged in the research, development and commercialisation of novel pharmaceutical products to treat serious and life threatening diseases, including cancer, stroke and Parkinson's disease. With one product already on the market, Vernalis is equipped to undertake the full development of novel pharmaceutical products, from discovery research through to product registration.
