Alizyme is focussing on the treatment of obesity and related diseases and gastrointestinal disorders including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and mucositis, a side effect of cancer therapy.

Alizyme exploits its in-house expertise in its targeted therapeutic areas under the direction of an experienced management team, which accesses the technologies and skills required to progress its portfolio of drug development programmes through outsourcing.

Alizyme has a portfolio consisting four drug candidates which it is progressing through to clinical development and proof of efficacy in humans, and a number of research programmes. Alizyme will commercialise its products through out-licensing to pharmaceutical companies who will complete the product approval and marketing process. In return the Company will receive research and development costs, licence fees, success payments and royalties on product sales.
