The Science Park is home to well known biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies including MedImmune, UCB, PPD and Gilead. As well as biopharma activity on site our anchor tenant TWI has a long history of supporting the medical devices sector, with specific expertise in the areas of materials selection, coatings and surface modifications for biocompatibility, joining, medical electronics and micro systems packaging. Support can be provided in specific areas of technology but also in product design and manufacture.

TWI is also home to the UK's Health Technologies Knowledge Transfer Network, an excellent resource which provides a strategic overview of the UK capacities; assists businesses to access public funding and generally contributes to the UK’s goal of accelerating business innovation in this important sector.
